Glory to the fat-bellied Ganesha who has no master above Him.

Glory to the remover of obstacles, son of Mother Parvati, born on a mountain,

and of Father Shiva, personified goodness. Glory to Ganesha who eliminates our impurities,

who is the abode of power and wisdom, the protector of Shiva's army,

the very embodiment of the primeval sound Om, son of Shiva, guardian of all living beings.

Ehre sei dem dickbäuchigen Ganesha, der keinen Herrn über sich hat.

Ehre sei dem Beseitiger von Hindernissen, Sohn von Mutter Parvati, der auf einem Berg geborenen,

und von Vater Shiva, der personifizierten Güte. Ehre sei Ganesha, der unsere Unreinheiten beseitigt,

der die Stätte der Kraft und Weisheit ist, dem Beschützer von Shivas Armee,

der Verkörperung des Urklangs Om, dem Sohn von Shiva, Beschützer aller Lebewesen.
